Terrance “T.A.” Richardson

November 22, 1970 – March 20, 2009

Born and raised in the Mississippi Delta, Terence “T.A.” Richardson knew the meaning of hard work and dedication at an early age. After serving in the Army Reserve, T.A. decided to pursue a degree in Criminal Justice. He eventually graduated from Lane College in 1993. He was a middle linebacker for the Dragons and a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. T.A. dedicated his entire professional career to working with troubled youth in West Tennessee. He worked for Youth Villages and Camelot Care Centers. He began his career with Madison County Juvenile Court Services in 2004. Most recently, the T.A. Richardson Award for the most improved cadet was presented in his honor at Youth Town’s Youth Challenge Program in Jackson.

T.A. was an avid sports fan and loved the Chicago Bears. He was a beloved husband, devoted father and truly cared about the welfare of the youth in the area. His ultimate goal was to make a difference in the lives of those he came in contact with. Whether it was a coworker or a youth in trouble, he often stated that if he can help one child succeed and be productive, then his work at Juvenile Court was not in vain. We will truly miss our coworker, brother and friend, Terence “T.A.” Richardson.
